The event, organised by the University of the Aegean in collaboration with partner institutions, continues to position itself as a critical forum for dialogue at the intersection of art, science, and emerging technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This year\u2019s keynote programme features two leading figures whose work has shaped contemporary discourse in new media art and digital aesthetics:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">MAURICE BENAYOUN \u83ab\u5954<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">New Media Artist, Theorist and Curator,&nbsp;<br>Professor, Nanjing University, CHINA<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/xarts.aegean.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/benayoun-1024x923.jpg\" alt=\"\"><br><strong>Maurice Benayoun<\/strong>&nbsp;(aka&nbsp;<strong>MoBen<\/strong>&nbsp;or \u83ab\u5954) (born 29 March 1957 in&nbsp;Mascara, Algeria) is a French pioneer, contemporary new-media artist, curator and theorist based in&nbsp;Paris&nbsp;and&nbsp;Hong Kong.&nbsp;His work employs various media, including (and often combining)&nbsp;video,&nbsp;computer graphics,&nbsp;immersive virtual reality, the Internet,&nbsp;performance,&nbsp;EEG,&nbsp;3D Printing, large-scale urban media art installations and&nbsp;interactive&nbsp;exhibitions. Often conceptual, Maurice Benayoun\u2019s work constitutes a critical investigation of the mutations in the contemporary society induced by the emerging or recently adopted technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Miguel Almiron<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Miguel Almiron<br>Professor, University of Paris 1<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/xarts.aegean.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/almiron.jpg\" alt=\"\"><br><strong>Miguel Almiron<\/strong>&nbsp;is a member of Institut Acte (UR 7539) University Paris 1 Panth\u00e9on-Sorbonne. He leads a theoretical and technical practice exploring and reflecting on the possibilities of expressing the senses of body, and the human being through the use of new digital technologies. His artistic work has been exhibited in galleries and festivals in France and abroad. He was associated to the Labex Arts-H2H\/Ens Louis-Lumi\u00e8re research program &#8220;Deceptive Arts.
