Call for Exhibits: XARTS 2025 – International Conference and Summer School on Extended Arts
21–28 June 2025 | Syros, Greece
XARTS 2025 invites submissions for exhibits by artists, designers, researchers, and scientists working at the intersection of art, technology, and design.
We welcome proposals that engage critically and creatively with extended artistic practices, including but not limited to:
- Interactive and generative installations
- Artworks employing motion capture, XR, AI, or spatial computing
- Research-driven design artefacts
- Experimental media and post-digital aesthetics
- Transdisciplinary projects exploring human–machine, ecological, or socio-cultural entanglements
The exhibition will take place in Syros, Greece, as part of the XARTS 2025 Conference and Summer School. Selected works will be showcased in a curated venue open to both conference participants and the public.

- Submission deadline: 5 June 2025
- Notification of acceptance: 10 June 2025
- Installation: 20–21 June 2025
- Exhibition: 22–27 June 2025
Submission Format
Submit via email to: [xarts2025@aegean.gr]
- Title and description of the work (max. 500 words)
- Artist/designer/scientist statement (max. 300 words)
- Up to 5 images or video links
- Technical requirements (including setup, space, power, software/hardware)
- Short bio (max. 150 words)
Works that foster dialogue across disciplines and propose new modes of engagement between art and science are especially encouraged.
Organised by the Department of Product and Systems Design Engineering, University of the Aegean, in collaboration with the Ionian University and the University of the Peloponnese, within the framework of the IMAGINE MOCAP project funded by the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation.
